It’s hard to believe another year has flown by. Time seems to be speeding up once more, perhaps that’s why so many improvements have been made at Woodbridge this past year. Our motivated office and management team are making sure we live up to our motto: Making Woodbridge Island the best estate it can possibly be.

Kindly note the WBI office times during the holiday period: Monday 19th December to Thursday 22nd December 08:00 until 16:30, Friday 23rd December 08:00 until 12:00, Wednesday 28th December and Thursday 29th December 08:00 until 16:30 and Friday 30th December 08:00 until 12:00. Tuesday 3rd January onwards 08:00 to 16:30, except Fridays 08:00 to 15:30.
Household Garbage: Collections from the roadside, in front of your unit, will take place from 8:00 on the following dates: 19th, 21st, 23rd, 28th and 30th December. Please arrange to take your household refuse to the refuse rooms on other days and place INSIDE THE BLACK WHEELIE BINS, not on the floor of the refuse room, as this encourages pests. NO GARDEN REFUSE TO BE PLACED IN BLACK WHEELIE BINS.

Planned electricity supply interruption in Milnerton
Please note the City of Cape Town will be undertaking electricity maintenance on Saturday 29th October 2022 from 20:00 until 08:00 the following morning and there will be no electricity supply to Woodbridge Island during that time.
This was communicated to all residents of Milnerton in the Tabletalk dated 12th and 19th November 2022 and I have confirmed with the City of Cape Town, Woodbridge Island will be affected.

Doing Home Improvement/Alterations - see the process
Please note all internal and external alterations need to be applied for and submitted to the WBI Administrative Office for presentation to the Building & Maintenance sub committee and Trustees for approval before you can commence.
Please ensure you send in your applications timeously as the Building & Maintenance sub committee only meet on the second Tuesday of each month and the Trustees only meet on the last Monday of each month, excluding the month of December, when no meetings are held.
If possible please submit your detailed list of building improvements/alterations, together with any diagrams, building plans or photographs to the WBI Administrative office in writing by the Thursday preceding the monthly Building & Maintenance meeting, either by email or letter, so as not to delay the approval process.

Maintenance Report - March 2021
March was an excellent month for the implementation of several innovations, including pond lighting, fountains in the pond and lagoon as well as introducing a house-cleaning program.
Coincidentally and happily, it was also a month of minimal emergency work needed on sewers, water leaks and dune fences!

Pond Update
Greetings Islanders
I wanted to get a communication out to everyone in regards to the pond and our efforts to restore it to the beautiful feature we have all treasured over the years.
Annual General Meeting 2022
Dear Owners
The 2022 Annual General Meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday 6th April 2022 at 18:00 via zoom, if there is no quorum then it will be adjourned to Wednesday 13th April 2022 at 18:00 via zoom.
A pre-notice was distributed today via email.
"The Sectional Titles Management Schemes Act makes no provision for an item described as “General” on the Agenda of the Annual General Meeting.
If there are any items you wish to discuss at the meeting, these must be raised under “Special Business” and details of such items must be submitted in writing to reach the Island Admin Office by close of business on Friday 4th March 2022, so that they can be included on the agenda. Your submission must also contain a short synopsis of the subject(s) you wish to raise so that other members may prepare a response or arrange to support you.
Similarly, details of any directives to the Trustees must be submitted in writing by close of business on 4th March 2022 for inclusion on the agenda.
Discussion of any item added to the agenda in either of the above categories must be motivated and led at the AGM by the owner concerned."

Garden and Dune Report - March 2021
Gardening:
The WBI Gardening team have recently applied fertilizer to all common property lawns and are hand watering three times a week, with cleaning/clearing of common property flowerbeds and grassed areas twice a week.
Will Taylor, the Trustee for Garden, Estate and Dunes is busy with a project to beautify the swimming pool areas, making them more attractive environmentally with the installation of new loungers and effective shaded areas.
Mrs Caronne de Wet is currently liaising with owners in the Avenhoorn area regarding the replacement of Lagunaria trees; which the Avenhoorn owners have agreed to fund; with the option of planting two other trees varieties.
