Doing Home Improvement/Alterations - see the process

Please note all internal and external alterations need to be applied for and submitted to the WBI Administrative Office for presentation to the Building & Maintenance sub committee and Trustees for approval before you can commence.
Please ensure you send in your applications timeously as the Building & Maintenance sub committee only meet on the second Tuesday of each month and the Trustees only meet on the last Monday of each month, excluding the month of December, when no meetings are held.
If possible please submit your detailed list of building improvements/alterations, together with any diagrams, building plans or photographs to the WBI Administrative office in writing by the Thursday preceding the monthly Building & Maintenance meeting, either by email or letter, so as not to delay the approval process.

Maintenance Report - March 2021

March was an excellent month for the implementation of several innovations, including pond lighting, fountains in the pond and lagoon as well as introducing a house-cleaning program.
Coincidentally and happily, it was also a month of minimal emergency work needed on sewers, water leaks and dune fences!

I wanted to get a communication out to everyone in regards to the pond and our efforts to restore it to the beautiful feature we have all treasured over the years.
Garden and Dune Report - March 2021

Gardening:
The WBI Gardening team have recently applied fertilizer to all common property lawns and are hand watering three times a week, with cleaning/clearing of common property flowerbeds and grassed areas twice a week.
Will Taylor, the Trustee for Garden, Estate and Dunes is busy with a project to beautify the swimming pool areas, making them more attractive environmentally with the installation of new loungers and effective shaded areas.
Mrs Caronne de Wet is currently liaising with owners in the Avenhoorn area regarding the replacement of Lagunaria trees; which the Avenhoorn owners have agreed to fund; with the option of planting two other trees varieties.

The issue of sewage entering into the Diep River and Milnerton Lagoon has been a major sore point for residents in Milnerton and surrounds, and a community meeting was held on Tuesday evening (6 Sept) at the Milnerton Library for people to air (pun intended) their frustrations at the seemingly slow rate of progress in resolving the situation.
